| – are manufactured using both Ammonium Nitrate and Urea fertilisers. These very efficient, dual acting solutions contain Nitrate for rapid uptake and effect, and slow release ureic nitrogen for longer term crop nutrition.
The crop benefits from this approach to fertilisation and there is less risk of "run off" of nutrient into ditches and waterways, reducing Diffuse Polution problems.
Solid Urea that is prone to volatilisation where it is being lost to the atmosphere. This is very significant in dry, warm periods and on chalky soil types. (With Urea in a fluid form, this risk is removed.)
